Our Story
In the 1990s, my family started a cleaning franchise in the Indianapolis-area, Merry Maids. It was truly a family business. My mom ran day-to-day operations, my dad managed the financing and accounting and my brother and I were in charge of “marketing.”
What did marketing mean back then? It meant running from house-to-house free of fear of running through lawns and Ring cameras, hanging door flyers for a penny each. One hundred doors for a dollar. I quickly figured out that if I put three or four flyers on one door, I could triple my earnings, an early lesson in efficiency (and maybe a little loophole finding!).
This was the era of dial-up internet and AOL, when the phone book was the only real directory and canvassing meant knocking on doors. It was hard work, but it taught me the value of persistence, resourcefulness and direct connection.
Today, Knock Through Glass reimagines that same principle for the modern world. Instead of knocking on hundreds of doors, we enable businesses to reach thousands of homes in minutes. By combining innovation with the lessons learned from those early days, we help organizations start meaningful conversations more efficiently and effectively than ever before.
Knock Through Glass exists to transform outreach - helping you stop knocking and start connecting. We think it's ridiculous that home service businesses must pay the "Google tax" just to grow. We believe the best home service businesses thrive by turning their existing customers' neighbors into loyal clients - not by burning through cash on big tech platforms like Google or Angi.
That's why we built Knock Through Glass - a software platform on a mission to grow more profitable home services businesses.
